Dr Dennis Mcshane, Chief Medical Officer

Dr Dennis McShane was one of the original founders and Chief Operating Officer of Clinical Solutions LLC, the company responsible for the creation of the Teleguide™ Algorithms used by Clinical Solutions in the nurse triage and consultation solutions. He became the Chief Medical Officer of Clinical Solutions when the company was acquired by CAS Services Ltd in 2006.

Prior to starting Clinical Solutions, Dr McShane held a variety of positions in the medical field including over ten years as an emergency room physician, over ten years as a clinical consultant, Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford University and Co-director of the HIV clinic at Stanford University. He spent over fifteen years in clinical care of people with AIDS. He developed his passion for software programming as part of his clinical research experience in health services research and longitudinal outcomes of rheumatic diseases. Dr McShane has written over 40 articles in the fields of HIV/AIDS, Arthritis and Rheumatism and chronic diseases, and has published several books in the field of rheumatic diseases. He is a board certified rheumatologist and also a very accomplished software architect and programmer, responsible for the creation of the Teleguide™ Algorithms used today throughout the world.

Dr McShane lives with his partner of over 25 years, in Menlo Park, California. He is an accomplished pianist and enjoys entertaining friends and family in the idyllic gardens of his home where he enjoys growing orchids and gardening.
