Clinical Solutions Unveils New Software Solutions to Help Healthcare Professionals In Asia

16 May 2007: Clinical Solutions today unveiled two new software products for healthcare services across Asia—the CS Long Term Conditions Management Solution and the CS Bio Surveillance solution—at the HIMSS AsiaPac07 Conference and Exhibition in Singapore.

Clinical Solutions today unveiled two new software products for healthcare services across Asia—the CS Long Term Conditions Management Solution and the CS Bio Surveillance solution—at the HIMSS AsiaPac07 Conference and Exhibition in Singapore.

The CS Long Term Conditions Management Solution is a software program designed to assist in the management of long-term medical conditions (LTCs). The software will enable GPs and nurses to more effectively support the care of patients with LTCs, and provide a more personalised level of care and support. It will allow healthcare professionals to advise patients of ongoing care and self-care techniques, without the need for a home visit or surgery appointment.

Jackie Rice-Haga, Director of Nursing at Clinical Solutions, said: “We must acknowledge that the ageing population around the world will require ongoing care. Within health services globally, there is an increasing need to use existing resources in the most appropriate way. This system utilises primary care givers’ time more effectively to empower patients with long-term conditions to take more responsibility for how they look after themselves.”

Clinical Solutions’ other new product, the CS Bio Surveillance solution, is a web-based software application designed for the early detection and effective management of an epidemic or pandemic outbreak of infectious disease. The tool assists clinicians to quickly assess a patient’s symptoms, determine the potential start of an infection and advise the patient of the most appropriate action.

Clinical Solutions is showcasing the new products at its booth (booth 209) at the HIMSS conference from 16 to 18 May. Healthcare professionals and media are invited to view a demonstration of the software.
