IntefleCS® Symptom Enquirer from Clinical Solutions is a web-based application that can be implemented stand alone or potentially integrated with other online tools. It is designed for general use to allow a member of the public to triage and evaluate symptoms and receive a personalised recommendation on the best course of action to take. The algorithm-based system serves as an electronic tool to channel the individual with a symptom either to an appropriate level of professional healthcare, or to deliver and reinforce interim self-care. The application, with its simple to use multi-browser supported interface designed to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), displays a series of clinical algorithms in the form of a user-centric set of questions that are age and gender specific. The questions are prioritised and designed to filter the specific symptom or complaint into an appropriate disposition to determine if further medical help is required.
The triage questions incorporate our proprietary "input logic" based on appropriate interpretation of the user's age and sex. This ensures only questions relevant to that person are presented. This minimises the risk of answering irrelevant and inappropriate questions.
Based on an algorithmic series of questions offering 'yes' or 'no' responses, the application will display the most appropriate outcome or disposition for the person's specific presenting symptoms.
